Main Manufacturing Process Flow of Double-Sided PCB
-
Substrate Preparation:Cut FR-4 or other dielectric materials to size as per customer Gerber files and clean the surface.
-
Drilling:Use CNC machines to drill precision holes for layer interconnection.
-
PTH & Electroplating:Apply conductive layer on hole walls and electroplate copper to ensure stable electrical connection.
-
Dry Film & Exposure:Laminate photosensitive dry film and transfer circuit patterns via UV exposure.
-
Developing:Remove unexposed dry film to expose copper areas for etching.
-
Etching:Etch away excess copper foil to form the required circuit pattern.
-
Stripping:Remove remaining dry film to reveal finished circuits.
-
Solder Mask:Apply solder mask to protect circuits and prevent short circuits.
-
Silkscreen Printing:Print labels, logos and component marks for assembly and maintenance.
-
Surface Finishing:Apply HASL, ENIG, OSP or other treatments to improve solderability and corrosion resistance.
-
Electrical Test:Conduct continuity and insulation tests to eliminate open/short circuits.
-
Routing & Final Inspection:Cut boards to shape and inspect appearance and performance before delivery.
