Noise and Prevention Measures

The main noise sources for the existing project come from ventilation equipment in the cooling workshop, production equipment, central air conditioning towers, and blowers and fans in the sewage treatment plant. The noise levels are as follows:

Noise source Sound source intensity

Workshop

Grinding machine                      75
Cutting machine                      75
Drilling machine                      80
Punch machine                      85
Ventilation equipment                      75
Central air conditioning cooling tower                      90
Sewage treatment station Blower                      90
Various pumps                 80-90 dB(A)

All noise source equipment in the project is placed in a dedicated workshop, and the following control measures will be taken for different noise sources:

  1. Starting from the control of noise sources, vibration reduction and noise prevention treatment will be carried out on the foundations of equipment with higher noise levels, such as cutting machines, drilling machines, punching machines, etc.;
  2. Noise reduction by sound insulation: The use of appropriate sound insulation equipment such as partition walls, sound insulation rooms, sound insulation covers, sound insulation curtains and sound insulation barriers can reduce the noise level by 20-50 decibels.
  3. Strengthen the maintenance and management of noise-making equipment to avoid noise increases caused by abnormal operation.
  4. Strengthen greening within the factory. Planting creepers such as Parthenocissus quinquefolia on the perimeter wall will maximize the natural attenuation of noise over distance.

After being blocked by the wall and attenuated over distance, the noise emitted by the project will meet the Class 3 standard in the "Environmental Noise Emission Standard for Industrial Enterprises" (GB12348-2008). The north boundary of the factory will meet the Class 2 standard in the "Environmental Noise Emission Standard for Industrial Enterprises" (GB12348-2008).
